Band 6 Charge Nurse/ Sister- Stroke
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Charge Nurse/Sister to join the nursing team working on the Acute Stroke Unit within the Neuroscience Directorate.
Harvest B is a 30 bedded ward located at Queens Hospital. Successful applicants will be working with other members of the multidisciplinary stroke team, in providing a high quality holistic service to the population you serve.
We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurses and invite applications from those nurses who relish the challenge of working in Neurosciences.
The Neurosciences team consists of Nursing staff, Doctors, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech Therapists and Nurse Specialists all of whom work collaboratively to deliver our Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
There are excellent opportunities for personal and professional development as well as individual support from the Ward Manager and Matron. You must be very enthusiastic and willing to promote a high quality care service as the basis of the unit's philosophy. You must have a good working knowledge of Neurosciences and a willingness to embrace and promote positive change. Strong leadership qualities would be essential for this role.
