We are looking for an enthusiastic radiographer to join our friendly team at Barking, Havering & Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. The post holder is expected to be a dynamic individual who is adaptable, confident with change and able to deliver outstanding patient care
The Radiotherapy department at Queens Hospital is equipped with brand new cutting edge radiotherapy technology and we treat patients from across East London and Essex. Our Trust was the first in the UK to install a Varian Halcyon unit in September 2017 and we have once again made history by being the first Trust in the country to install and go clinical with a second Halcyon unit. In June of this year we also went live with a Varian Edge + unit that has SRS and SABR capabilities, 4D CBCT and a 6D couch.
Our equipment also includes a wide bore Siemens CT Scanner with iMAR ability, a Varian 2100iX Linear Accelerator, Eclipse Treatment Planning System, and an Xstrahl Orthovoltage unit.
RapidArc, IMRT, IGRT, DIBH and 4DCT are in routine use for a wide range of clinical sites. The centre participates in a number of clinical trials. Radiographers rotate throughout the department. We are a majority paperless department.
We are looking for an experienced therapy radiographer who has high levels of technical proficiency and proven experience of providing holistic high quality care to patients and their family, friends & carers.
You must be HCPC Registered as a Therapy Radiographer with a minimum of 18 months experience
