Band 7 Trauma  Pathway Rehabilitation Coordinator

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with transferable knowledge and skills to support our Trauma Unit in coordinating the pathway for our trauma patients. You should have the ability to work autonomously, be a creative thinker and have excellent communication skills. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual, who wishes to extend their skills and to work cross divisionally to support specialties and Multi-Disciplinary Teams, working together with the team members to facilitate the delivery of a high quality of care for trauma patients.  You will be a contact point for the MTC for repatriations and support with ensuring audit and data is up to date while acting on own initiative to resolve problems and to bring any major issues to the attention of the Trauma Committee.

Our Hospitals

Our hospitals are on a transformation journey and we are committed to continuously adapting and trialling new innovative clinical models to deliver outstanding care for our population.  We also have a unique partnership with the Virginia Mason Institute (VMI) and are working with our staff to embed their principles and guidance in ‘The PRIDE Way’ of improvement and culture at BHRUT.  Moreover, the changes in our models of care are heavily influenced and driven by the staff who delivers the care.

Your Development

We know that our people are key to delivering outstanding care for our patients.  We are looking for you to lead, develop and embed core skills and standards, apply your experience and skills to improve patient care, influence strategic direction and work as a multi-disciplinary team to drive care models forward.  You will be supported to do this work by a very welcoming and forward-thinking team.

Applicant requirements

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the resident labour market test. UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UKVI website. From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement. Guidance can be found here Criminal Records Checks for Overseas Applicants.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
