We have an exciting opportunity in Acute Medicine at BHRUT Hospitals. We are looking to recruit a Band 6 Nurse to join our existing highly motivated team on Gentian Ward (Gastro/Care of the Elderly ward). This unit/ward is based at our King George Hospital Site; there will be an opportunity to rotate in the division if you desire. There will be an opportunity to rotate to one of our Ortho-geriatric, and Acute Care of the elderly ward which are all on one site (KGH).
Care of the Elderly is currently going through a process of change to ensure we meet the on-going needs of our patients and to provide an excellent standard of care every time every day. This is an ideal opportunity for you to bring your experiences and visions to help us to deliver these changes.

All new staff appointed to posts at the Trust are subject to a probationary period. This will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the culture and working environment of the Trust.
Applications should be made online, however, queries regarding the application process or assistance with completion of the form (for applicants with a disability) can be made to Richard Coe, Recruitment Advisor, on 01708 435000 ext. 3296.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the resident labour market test. UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UKVI website. From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement. Guidance can be found here Criminal Records Checks for Overseas Applicants.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
